Memories of Maud Lillian Frost Parsons

as told to and written by her daughter, Marion Ross.

Published spiral bound about 1980

Preface

Marion Ross was the second child of Maud Lillian Frost Parsons, who was the oldest of nine children born to Simpson Paine and Ann Margaret Nichol Frost. My Mother, Maud Parsons made her home with me, the last eleven years of her life. During this time, she told me stories of her childhood, especially the things that frightened her. Mother lived to be eightyseven years old. Her mind was clear and active, she had good eyesight and enjoyed reading, her hearing was good and she was able to get around and do things for herself. She had cancer, she died after her third cancer operation, on 22 March 1958. She told me her stories over and over again, so I am writing them here as though she was telling them. The first two stories happened when she was a baby and before she was born, they are repeated here as they were told to her, by her Mother Maggie. All Dates, Names and Places mentioned have been taken from authentic records, and are as accurate as is possible to attain. I have given as much Family History as I have been able to collect, in the appendix.
